Purpose: Guemes Island is more than fortunate to have many artists living among us. LineTime is maintaining a listing of artists living and working on Guemes Island as a service to those artists and to the community.

We cannot, obviously, build extensive web sites for everyone and have chosen this modest format to provide an introduction to the artists and artwork made here. Please be patient, as well, since this is a volunteer effort and we build pages as our work (and play) schedules permit.

The Arts On Guemes section has two parts:

The first part consists of the listing page which will contain one small image, plus text which can include name, contact information, brief statement, studio location, email and link to artist's web site.

The first part links to the second part - a web page containing two additional, larger images with full captions (including one for the image on the listing page), artist statement and other text.

Copy: Please look at the listings and the artist's pages to get a sense of what you might want to include. Please email all copy to LineTime.

Images: If you do not have digital images, we'll scan in photographic prints. How It Works can scan in slide tranparencies for a modest fee. Digital images sized and ready to go can be emailed to LineTime . Send three images:

1. One image suitable for the small space in the listing page. You can choose an image that works at a small size or crop and show an interesting detail. This is to give LineTime's visitors a sense of your work and entice them to view your page.

Must be 150 pixels wide by no more than 500 pixels high. JPEG format.

2. Two images for your page. These are larger and can be full frame or cropped as you choose.

One image 188 pixels wide by not more than 600 high.

One image 400 pixels wide by not more than 800 high.

If you choose to have only one image on your page, it can be 612 pixels wide by 800 high.

Please name images in such a way to help us match caption to image.

Feel free to email us with any questions.
