Local Kiket Island - Kukutali Preserve

Acquiring an entire island in Puget Sound for the benefit of the public and the environment is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.  That's exactly what happened when pristine Kiket Island was purchased and became Kukutali Preserve.  Join us March 11, 7p.m., at the Anacortes Library to hear Jack Hartt, manager of Deception Pass State Park, discuss the history and resources of the island, the truly unique opportunities and challenges, and how we as a community can help provide for its future.  This lecture is third in a series of presentations this winter sponsored by the Skagit Co. WSU  Beach Watchers, promoting education and stewardship of our local marine resources.  Lecture is free and open to the public.
