Susan Ferrel will discuss her project growing staple foods using organic methods, local inputs and available rainfall. She will present her ideas about taking the project to the community level. We will follow with questions and discussion. Our goals and challenges are to reduce our carbon foot prints and reliance on fossil fuels, to provide security against food shortages and rising prices, to provide jobs, to strengthen community connectedness and resilience, and to possibly get away from a money based economy. Everyone is invited to attend especially the younger folks and others involved in food growing projects.
