Ferry Guemes loaded wtih Mini Coopers enroute to Guemes Island in May, 2004. A record load of 29 cars were ushered on to the boat by deck hands Kirk Lundsford, Carol Ballsmider, and Skipper, Jane Favors. After leaving Anacortes, the ferry stopped mid-channel, swung a nice little 360 degree turnabout, then proceeded to Guemes.
