Dear Mr. Sampley:

We appreciate the constructive meeting on October 24 with Mr. Cox and Mr. Panzero. During the meeting we received a draft copy of the Guemes Island Ferry Annual Report. Relative to the report, we must point out the following:

1. We did not have a chance to provide input to the report prior to its release;

2. We find a difference of about $112,000 between our calculations and those of the County in determining the fare revenue target;

3. The intent of Resolution #20040054 is that the development of the Annual Report and its conclusions should be a product of the Roundtable. In fact, the 2006 Report was prepared solely by the County.

We agree with the recommendation of staff that convening of the Roundtable is the proper venue for resolving these issues. We look forward to a meeting of the Roundtable at your earliest convenience.
