Requests Donations To Study Land Use
We know change will
happen; our vision is to make sure that healthy change happens with community
involvement and direction.
After a
successful community meeting discussing Guemes Island shoreline designations,
Guemes Island Planning Advisory Committee is now seeking funds to further
study land use on Guemes Island. In recent months Guemes Island was recognized
by the Skagit County Board of Commissioners as a unique area that would
need special consideration when updating the county-wide Comprehensive
Plan this next year.
Having already been
awarded a grant of $10,500 to study the shoreline the Committee is seeking
additional monies to look at the land use portion of the island's Sub
Area Plan.
