2004 Dog Island Run Winners
7th Annual Dog Island Run! The dawn of the 7th annual Dog Island Run brought clouds and rain and much cooler temperatures than the previous year. The participants were fewer as well. Enthusiasm was high however, and the rain did not dampen the spirits of any. Volunteers were up and out early in the morning, setting up tables, brewing coffee,
installing a PA system, timing devices, setting up water stations on the course, and so many other big and little things that needed to be done.
Dean, Nik and Ruth Taylor from Skagit Runners graciously donated time,
equipment, moral support and assurances that all would go well. |
