Reminder: No Double Run On Last Ferry Of The Night
It seems there is some confusion as to why the ferry no longer does a double run at the end of the night. I need to get the word out about our last run of the night policy so that folks can plan accordingly.
Effective January 1st, 2009, Resolution #R20080556 established hours of operation for the Guemes Island Ferry. Attachment A of that resolution determined the hours of operation to be as follows:
- Monday - Thursday - 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
- Friday - Saturday - 6:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
- Sunday - 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Attachment A of the above mentioned resolution also states that “Other than for exigent circumstances, no ferry departures shall occur earlier or later than the times listed above; specifically, no “double runs” or “clean-up” runs shall occur outside the Sailing Schedule listed above.”
For clarification purposes, there shall be no extra trips at 8:00 p.m., 8:30 p.m., or 11:00 p.m.
