The 2010 Dog Island Run!

Participants of all ages and walks of life converged on Guemes Island, Saturday, June 5, 2010, for the 13th Annual Dog Island Run or 2 mile walk. We were greeted by clear skies and comfortably cool weather making for perfect running conditions.
The first place win went to Justin Dempsey-Chiam with a blistering 37:01 10K time.
He was followed closely by former, 3-time winner, Curtis Easton, who crossed the line with a very respectible 38:15 finish. Third place honors went to Martin Fuhs who completed the Dog Island Run with a 39:19 time.
The number one finisher in the ladies division this year was Adrienne Nova with a women's course record time of 40:19. The second place lady was Keri Fezzy who crossed the finish line in 44:13. Kristen Maynard was this year's 3rd place lady with a very respectible 47:30.
The official participant count for both runners and walkers stands at 198 people. Look for additional information about individuals who participated this year as well as their 10K times.
The award for furthest traveler went to Adrian Travis, professor at Cambridge University, who came from London England. Other participants came from a variety of locales ranging from Skagit and Whatcom Counties as well as Snohomish and King counties.
