Reminder: No Double Run On Last Ferry Of The Night

It seems there is some confusion as to why the ferry no longer does a double run at the end of the night.  I need to get the word out about our last run of the night policy so that folks can plan accordingly.

Effective January 1st, 2009, Resolution #R20080556 established hours of operation for the Guemes Island Ferry.  Attachment A of that resolution determined the hours of operation to be as follows:

• Monday - Thursday   -   6:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
• Friday - Saturday     -    6:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
• Sunday                   -    8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

 
Attachment A of the above mentioned resolution also states that “Other than for exigent circumstances, no ferry departures shall occur earlier or later than the times listed above; specifically, no “double runs” or “clean-up” runs shall occur outside the Sailing Schedule listed above.”
 
For clarification purposes, there shall be no extra trips at 8:00 p.m., 8:30 p.m., or 11:00 p.m.

Frequent user punch cards are available for Guemes Island Ferry users by phone or mail

Guemes Island Ferry users now have the option of ordering frequent user punch cards through the mail with the Guemes Island Ferry punch card order form  available at www.skagitcounty.net/ferry.

To order a punch card, fill out the order form and mail it, along with a check or money order, to Skagit County Public Works at the address listed on the form.

To order punch cards using a credit card, call 360.336.9400 and place your order with the receptionist. Please be ready with your order and credit card information. Please allow 7-10 business days to receive your punch card(s) in the mail.
