Beginning Friday, October 14, 2011, the Guemes Island Sailing Schedule will be adjusted for Friday afternoons only.

The current schedule has runs at 1:00 p.m., 1:30 p.m., and 2:00 p.m. We apologize for any confusion this may cause. To view the new sailing schedule, please visit our website at www.skagitcounty.net/ferry.

I know that in 2011 there have been several changes to the sailing schedule. We appreciate your patience as we make just one more adjustment to Friday afternoons. This adjustment was a necessary operational decision made by Skagit County in order to give our employees necessary breaks. In an effort not to eliminate runs during the main commuting hours of 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 pm, and to avoid cutting the 7:00 p.m. run altogether, the adjustments are as follows:
 
Beginning Friday, October 14, 2011, the following runs will be in effect:

12:45 pm
1:15 pm, and
1:45 pm.   

The previous schedule had runs at 1:00 p.m., 1:30 p.m., and 2:00 p.m. This means that there will be no double on the 11:15 a.m. run on Fridays. There will be the opportunity for a double all other days of the week, unless fueling or scheduled maintenance will be taking place. All other published runs remain the same. Please make sure you carry a sailing schedule with you to minimize confusion caused by this change. A copy of our brochure, with the sailing schedule, has been included in this publication for your convenience. We print thousands of these schedules each year and they are always available at the ferry terminal outside the Purser’s office.
