During their 61 years of marriage she and George moved more than a dozen times throughout the United States. Wherever they lived she was active and involved in the community. She was a founding member of Coeur d'Alene's 3C's in the 1960's when her bowling league decided to donate their weekly winnings to community causes.

While in North Carolina she lead the first integrated girl scout troop, worked as an early volunteer with Head Start, Women-In-Action for the Prevention of Violence and Its Causes, and she was instrumental in saving the Eno River from development.

In Everett, WA, Audrey was involved with The Arts Alliance of Washington State, a non-profit organization with a mission to provide service and advocacy to all the arts. While living on Guemes Island, WA she became a Master Gardener and founded the Anacortes Children's garden.

This past 4th of July found her marching in the National Parade with the Daughters of the American Revolution in Washington D.C. after attending Continental Congress as an active member of the Lt. George Farragut Chapter, NSDAR here in Coeur d'Alene. She personally provided all 5th graders of Lakeland School district with copies of the US Constitution. Halloween she was visiting with her adopted class at Twin Lakes Elementary, and on Veteran's Day she was at Dr. Bird's Museum giving thanks to the veterans.

The family would like to thank North Idaho Hospice for their kind service in Audrey's last days.
