Guemes Ferry Trail Progress

We thank you for all your generous donations and support. The project couldn’t move forward without you.  We are also excited to share the following trail progress.

Skagit Land Trust has been very helpful by working with property owners, Skagit County Parks and Recreation, and Public Works.

The County has surveyed along Guemes Island Road for property easements for the proposed trail . A template of the trail has been drawn up and been well received in recent reviews with property owners.

Forrest Jones from Public Works is looking for grant opportunities  for us. They have advised us that we will need a minimum of $10,000 in matching funds to be considered for some grants. We are about $1200 short of that goal. We are so close and need your help to get there.

We will be at the Holiday Bazaar on Saturday, November 24.  We will have yummy trail bars (delicious and nutritious - made by us “trailers”), safety lights (to protect you and your loved ones, including the furry kind), and our beautiful T-shirts for sale to help us reach our minimum goal. With your help during this season of giving we can do it!

Donations can be made through LineTime.org as well.

Please stop by our table, view these items, and reach into your pockets during this season of  giving.  The Guemes Ferry Trail is under a 501c3 with Guemes Library so all donations are tax deductible.

Thank You,

Guemes Island Ferry Trail
